Growing Food, Service, and Community

If you didn’t know, SafeSide Recovery operates the City of Pueblo’s only homeless shelter. At The Pueblo Shelter, our team provides meals, emergency shelter, peer support, case management, resource navigation, employment assistance, and other wraparound services that help people move toward stability.

One of the many community partnerships supporting this work is the Municipal Court Community Service Garden. Local youth help plant, weed, maintain, and harvest the garden while completing meaningful community service. The fresh fruits and vegetables are then donated to The Pueblo Shelter, giving our guests access to healthy, locally grown food while allowing young people to make a positive contribution to their community.
