SafeSide Recovery operates four sober living homes in NW Denver near 72nd Avenue and Pecos Street. Our homes provide a structured, recovery-focused environment where residents can build stability, strengthen recovery, and move toward greater independence.
We operate three men’s homes, Zenith House, Athens House, and Arcadia House, and one women’s home, Leona House.

SafeSide’s four sober living homes are located in NW Denver near 72nd Avenue and Pecos Street.
Our homes are located in the same general area, helping create a connected SafeSide recovery community while keeping residents near everyday resources and opportunities throughout the Denver metro area.
Prospective residents do not need to select a specific house before applying. During the admissions process, our team can discuss current availability and appropriate placement.

Athens House provides structured sober living for men in NW Denver and is a CARR-certified residence.

Arcadia House is one of SafeSide’s three men’s sober living homes in NW Denver.

Leona House provides SafeSide sober living for women in NW Denver.
A Recovery Environment Built Around Peer Connection
SafeSide is peer-led because we believe lived experience matters. Recovery can mean rebuilding many parts of life at the same time; routines, relationships, employment, confidence, health, and connection.
Our peer professionals understand many of those challenges firsthand. They can help residents identify goals, navigate resources, work through practical barriers, strengthen accountability, and stay connected to recovery.
Residents may also work with clinical, medical, recovery, and community providers based on their individual needs. SafeSide respects residents’ right to choose appropriate treatment and peer-support providers.
Things to Know Before You Apply
Our Homes Are Structured
SafeSide homes have clear expectations designed to support a sober, accountable living environment. Residents should be prepared for curfews, household responsibilities, recovery-focused routines, and shared responsibility for the home.
Drug and Alcohol Testing Is Part of the Program
Residents participate in regular and random drug and alcohol testing as part of maintaining a sober and accountable living environment.
Recovery Is the Priority
SafeSide is designed for people who are actively working toward recovery and willing to participate in a structured, peer-centered environment.
Individual Needs Matter
Every applicant is different. During the screening process, we talk about your current circumstances, recovery needs, expectations, and whether SafeSide may be a good fit.
You Can Choose Your Providers
SafeSide residents may work with clinical, medical, recovery, and peer-support providers based on their individual needs and preferences.
Our Approach to Sober Living
Recovery is about more than avoiding drugs and alcohol. It is also about rebuilding routines, relationships, confidence, community, and a sense of direction. SafeSide provides structure without losing sight of the individual. Residents come to us with different histories, strengths, goals, and needs.
Peer support is central to that approach. We believe people with lived experience bring a perspective that can help turn recovery from something someone is told to do into something they learn how to live.
Our goal is greater stability and independence--not dependence on SafeSide.

Within 72 hours, a SafeSide team member will contact you for a phone screening.

We will talk about your current situation, recovery needs, expectations, and whether SafeSide may be an appropriate fit.
4. Plan the Next Step
If SafeSide is a good fit and an appropriate opening is available, our team will explain what happens next and how to prepare.

Yes. SafeSide homes have clear expectations, household responsibilities, curfews, and other forms of structure that support an accountable recovery environment.
Q: Do you have homes for men and women?
Yes. SafeSide operates three men’s homes, Zenith, Athens, and Arcadia, and one women’s home, Leona House.
Q: Does Medicaid pay for SafeSide sober living housing?
No. Medicaid does not cover SafeSide sober living housing. Health or recovery services that may be covered by Medicaid are separate from housing and have their own eligibility and coverage requirements.
